A figure of dubious history and rumor Ty is a mercenary often found in the employ of the powerful and the well connected. Tyson 'Turncoat' Hazard is an uncompromising and stalwart gunhand for those who can afford him. While there are some dark rumors about him and his past, He's generally respected by those who have dealt or worked with him, and despite his moniker, considered a trustworthy go between or facilitator. While he was once a frustrated captain of a ship called Goliath in his early days, he left that life to settle down. In recent years he has earned himself a decent living as a middle man, and is suspected of having connections in both the high and mighty Alliance, and the underworld of the outer rim. Regardless of the rumors, what is known is that he isn't a pushover in a fight, and more then a few low-lives have met their end crossing him.
Other History:
Born on Beaumonde to a large, enterprising, and locally well-respected family, Tyson (called Ty by friends) has a knack for finding trouble. As a young boy his father sent him to a seminary off-world in hopes of quelling his rebellious streak. After several years Ty ran away, but without much money and fewer friends Ty got involved with seedier elements, and disreputable activities. After learning of the demise of his parents and the breakup of his family holdings at the outset of the War, Ty left his criminal ways to strike back against the oppressive Alliance.

Going to War

Tyson was eventually caught up in the war against the Alliance when it broke out. Smart, resourceful, and young, he quickly caught the eye of his superiors and became a non-commissioned officer early in the war. He fought bravely through three brutal campaigns each leading to a promotion and subsequent praise from his men. Along the way he lost a lot of himself, but eventually he was awarded the rank of Lt. Colonel for his quick thinking and courage after the death of his commanding officer.

Leading from the front was his typical style, and He was the epitome of those who fought back against the Alliance. Through dangerous missions, he always made the most out of what little resources he had, and seemed to always be one step ahead of whatever unfortunate Alliance unit He was sent to destroy. He was quickly making a name for himself...some even predicted that in a short time he would make full Colonel or higher perhaps even a generalship wasn't out of the question. All of that glory and honor ended in muddled controversy, and a dark mark next to his name that would haunt him for the remainder of his life.

-Ty the Traitor-

Before he could go further, he was captured during the battle of Dukhang, and was suspected (never confirmed) of being a turncoat as his entire brigade was subsequently captured soon after his capture. After sitting in an Alliance prison for the duration of the war, He returned to Beaumonde and found what was left of his family missing and presumed dead. It was there that he first heard that rumors of traitorous ways had reached far beyond his little unit. He was a pariah, but his outsider status came with some benefits, for when no one knows where you stand, they never know what you'll do. He made his way taking contracts with morally gray outfits, using his wits and skills to hunt bounties, trade illicit goods, and fence alliance property through quiet channels willing to deal with third parties of questionable morality. He isn't the hero, unless he gets paid, upfront, with untraceable funds.

He constantly has to deal with people who remember his name or face from several published reports of his supposed turning, and eventually the nickname 'Turncoat' became a common phrase heard in his presence. He has never told anyone of the truth of the situation, and keeps the event close to his chest. But he became respected for standing his ground, being tougher then Sunday steak on Thursday, and getting the job done, regardless of the contract.

-Ty the Family Man-

After settling on a small backwater moon, Ty married, had one child and adopted another of his friends' children. Several others of the Hazard clan took refuge with him to start a small repair depot and farm. During a plague that hit the moon, his wife (Reyna Hazard) died tragically, and the small homestead they ran hit hard times. Leaving his daughter (Seychelle Hazard) and adopted son (Roland Hazard-Bera) in the care of family, Ty hit the black again, working as a gun hand, bounty hunter, black market dealer, whatever would pay the bills back home.

He's had many adventures and scraps with various nefarious characters, has lost touch with many old friends and former enemies, and is now looking to walk the 'verse again, a sense of wanderlust never having faded from him. His life is different now, with a small family so far away. He has a renewed sense of purpose, and more than enough to fight for. If you're looking for someone who does the job without too many questions, Hazard is never too far away.

Skills and Strengths: Good Judge of Character, Experienced Commander and Tactician.Strong Hand to Hand combatant, and a decent shot with small arms.

Weaknesses:  Occasional Alliance related Paranoia, PTSD gives him terrible nightmares, prefers to give orders rather then follow them, short tempered when it comes to his past.

"Alright, and by the way if we blow up, 'm totally haunting you, seriously, there'll be booin' and everything."
