[Hercules Holliday]

Following is a list of important people in Hercules Holliday's life; friends, family, and enemies. Play-by's are mostly just suggestions, though general ages, personalities, and ethnicities should be at least similar. Let me know if you have ideas.


The Li's
The Li's run a transport operation called Raven Transports, with a small fleet of ships working towards a common goal. Holliday has worked for them off and on for twenty years and been in love with the daughter, Annabelle, for twenty years minus a day. They all mostly like him and he's an unofficial member of the family.

Annabelle Li
The girl that got away, she has been the object of Holliday's affections since they first met over 20 years ago. She captains The Nevermore, a transport ship that operates as the flagship of a shipping empire owned by her parents. She has never been into Holliday in that way, however, and went and got herself married a few years ago and has a few kids.

Ronald "Ronnie" McGhghy
The guy who married Annabelle. To Holliday, he's completely unworthy and he does not get at all what Annabelle sees in him; but in reality he's kind, gentle, and able to protect his family. He comes from a long line of spacers and doesn't begrudge Holliday and his feelings for Annabelle. He's completely, infuriatingly confident in himself and their relationship.

Kimo Li 
Annabelle's father and Owner of Raven Transports. He's a tough sonofabitch and lifetime spacer who doesn't suffer fools gladly; strangely he always had a soft spot for Holliday. He also has an affinity for Edgar Allan Poe, naming his ships The Nevermore, The Tell Tale Heart, etc, not to mention his children Annabelle and Edgar Allan.

Patricia Li (nee Anderson) 
Annabelle's mother, as tough as she is warm. She's an expert pilot, a pretty good mechanic, and a crack shot; she made sure Annabelle grew up to take care of herself.

Edgar Allan Li
Annabelle's older brother, he's a goof and a good natured sort, a master mechanic, and as unconventional a captain as you can get; he's in charge of the Tamerlane. He and Holliday always got along well.

The Hollidays
Holliday's family on Ezra back on the ranch. His father died a few years ago, leaving his older siblings to fill the hole the patriarch's passing left. Most of them would have little cause to leave Ezra, some less than others.

Jeanie May
Matriarch of the family, she's tough, kind, and well-suited to the life she's led; but that's about it. She never received much schooling and has let her children run the farm so she can spend time with the grandkids.

Hiram
Eldest and committed to the Holliday Ranch whether he likes it or not. He's been married for years and has several children, but maybe he wanted more.

Helen
Second eldest and what most folks who know the family would call the boss, brains, and brawn all in one. Hiram's name is on the deed, but she's the one who runs things. Married with children.

Homer
The layabout with no ambition. He's the one who taught Hercules how to screw off. He considers himself a slacker intellectual and has to be forced to help out around the place. Truth is he's smart as a whip and helps the family with new patents and slick talking. Definitely single.

Hippolyta
Pretty as a picture and ambitious as all get-out. She just hasn't pulled the trigger on getting off of Ezra. Likely single.

The Crew of 八十八 (The 88)
A smuggling ship with an edge towards piracy, they're infamous around the 'Verse. A few years ago Holliday turned on them and gave them up to the Feds. Whether any of them escaped, were released, etc is up in the air, but they'd certainly be out for revenge.

Peregrine Kapur
Holliday's former best friend and business partner, after Kapur failed to get the funding they needed for their ship, The Hard Count, the two of them had a falling out. Kapur may have swindled Holliday, it's unclear. He's a gambler, a smooth talker, and has the same sort of luck that seems to follow Holliday.
