The group might have been around before the Miranda Transmission but they've become more noticeable since its release.  No one really knows who they are and there is a reason for this the Alliance seems intent on shutting them down.  One thing is certain they definitely have hackers in their midst as they are able to break into Cortex Feeds.  Donations to charities also seems to suggest that there are some wealthy individuals in the group too.  They claim to speak for those that can not and are looking to reveal information that some wish to keep hidden.  It is also said that the rebel factions springing up on Greenleaf and other Rim and Border planets are part of this movement group.

The Alliance and some border and rim planetary officials however have pinned several terrorist attacks on the group and claims the group is not as noble as it might appear.

Many of the ships on the site have now found themselves with Vox Silenti members on board.  Although the groups ultimate goal is not yet clear and no all the members know the details it does appear they have something against Blue Sun.
