"Begin recording?"

The ship gave a beep as a red light went on and it recorded the distress call and promptly ended when told to do so.

"Distress call has been sent, transmission range.  Forty two kilometres.  Sensors indicate four vessels and one planet in range."

Little one seemed to communicate with the ship and she was in aw of her ability.  She wondered what sort of magic she knew since she also got the collar off of her.

"DehDeh."  She repeated her words as she moved to the seating area of the shuttle and sat down once again chewing on the protein bar.  It was chewy and dry and she had a hard time with it but managed to get it down.  Little one seemed to be friendly, she would be sure to keep her safe.  For the first time since they broke atmo there was a bit of peace to relax as the danger was at least temporarily at bay.

Freya

"Distress call has been sent, transmission range.  Forty two kilometres.  Sensors indicate four vessels and one planet in range."

Nodding to herself, Freya grabbed the instruction manual from the console and sat back again, swiveling around so she could watch the lady eat. Still sitting cross legged, she opened the book and frowned a little, "Okay, now we wait to either be rescued or murdurized," she said to the woman, although really she was saying it to herself.

Another thoughtful frown turned her lips down and she cleared her throat, "Hey," she called out, trying to get the woman's attention. Freya pointed at herself, "Freya," she told her. "Freeeey-aaaah," came her name again, slower this time so the other person might be able to pronounce it.

Freya was a bit upset and she did hope that the ship to hear the distress call would the their new Corn, if her crew managed to get it up and running down there, but really any ship would suffice. Unless they wanted to dismantle the ship and toss S46 and Freya into space. That would not be ideal. All they could do now was wait. With her limited piloting skills she didn't want to risk getting them too far away from the planet and the apparent four ships.

"Hey,"  The girl called out, she stopped eating and looked to her.

By now she had a firm grasp on the finger thing.  When the one finger was aimed somewhere it meant to pay attention to where it was directed at.  This time the little one pointed at herself and made the same noise twice, once quickly and the other time more drawn out.

"Freya, Freeeey-aaaah,"

"Effff, effffrrr."  She tried to make the same noise but it made her mouth and tongue do funny things and it tickle a bit.  Undeterred she attempted it again.

"Effrrrrahh.  Effrrayygh.  Efuray?"  She looked at the girl quizzically hoping she did good.  While language was a barrier for her she picked up on things rather quickly, she was starting to understand that the sounds were a means of communication.  Back when she was young the other like her used to speak but he died before she could really learn how to use the words.  Maybe little one would live long enough to show her how to use their noises.  She would keep little one safe if anyone came near her.  Eying the metal pole she thought about going to pick it up but effrruay must have known something to take it from her so she resisted the urge.

Freya

"Effrrrrahh.  Effrrayygh.  Efuray?"

Her brows rose higher with each attempt at her name, lips parted in a half smile. She nodded slowly to encourage the woman. "Sure! Efuray is close enough," she told the lady, giving her another thumbs up and a triumphant smile. "I've got to figure out what to call you," she told her, fingers drumming idly against the open pages of the ship's manual.

Turning around, Freya extended her feet and rested them on the edge the console, looking out and frowning. She tried to use her personal comm but only got static in response. Of course that wasn't working. She just hoped F-Word was alright down there, he needed to be looked after or he'd get into trouble. At least, that's how she saw it.

Turning just enough to be able to look at S46 over her shoulder, she exhaled upward, blowing some of her wild brown hair away from her face, "What've I gotten myself into," she muttered. "Alright, Esther, let's see what else we've got in here," she muttered, putting the book back on the console and standing up. Freya moved along the sides of the shuttle looking through left over containers and storage spaces, wanting to know what supplies they'd have to work with while they waited for rescue.

"Sure! Efuray is close enough,"

She wasn't sure but she think her lips did that thing where they curled upwards.  She sat in silence watching Efuray who started looking through the ship.  Maybe she was hungry too.  She decided to join in the search and began sniffing around.  For the most part the smells were foreign but she did smell something.  Sniffing along the wall she realized that this cave had stuff in the walls.  she began pulling at the corners of a piece of metal then noticed the stick in the wall.  She pulled at it and the panel opened, the toilet came down.  To her though it was water, at least they'd have something to drink.  She sniffed at it but it smelled a little weird.  She wasn't that thirsty so she moved on down the wall.  Again she sniffed something on the other side of the shuttle.  She couldn't find a stick to make it open and the panel was sealed shut by screws but she knew something was behind there.  she scratched and banged against it trying to get it open she looked back at the girl.

"Efruh... Fruh..."  She called, pointing at it to get the girls attention hoping like the collar the girl would know how to get at what was inside.

Freya

Her attention shifted over toward the suddenly revealed toilet, gaze flickering between the woman and the latring. Don't you dare drink from that, she thought to herself. When the woman moved on, Freya could't help but heave a sigh of relief. She made a mental note to keep an eye on S46 so she wouldn't drink out of the toilet.

Brows rose when the lady called her 'name' again and she hurried over, running her fingers over the screws and eyeing the wildling. "Something in there, Ford?" she asked curiously, knowing she wasn't going to be getting a response. Luckily, because they'd been on Beylix to find parts for the ship they'd been looking for, she had a few tools in her pockets. A sudden rush of disappointment washed over her. If they couldn't get back to her crew, she was going to have to kiss fixing up the mule they'd found good bye. "Ah well," she muttered, knowing she shouldn't have gotten so attached. Reaching down into the pockets on the sides of her pants, she pulled out a little wrench, a screwdriver, some zip ties, and a little container full of beads, the same kind that were interspersed through her hair.

"Secret compartment, seeeecret compartment," she whispered to herself, grinning as she set to getting the screws undone. Putting them in her pocket so she wouldn't lose them, she put the screwdriver sideways in her mouth and tugged hard at the panel.

Fruy pulled the panel but it was still sticking so she stepped in and helped pull it open.  Inside was a bag which she pulled out and dumped on the floor.  Coins and paper money splashed against the floor as well as some food bars, a small datacard, an old photo and a small gun with a few clips.  She didn't find any interest in the money but the pistol was interesting, what was it?  She picked it up and sat on the floor cross-legged as she inspected it.  She eyed the small hole at the end, sticking her finger in it before biting down on it to see if it was some type of food.  These like her liked all their food wrapped in strange leaves.

She looked over at the girl and offered the gun to her figuring she might be able to show her what it was.

"Furey?"

Freya

The girl stepped back quickly as the bag's contents were promptly dumped all over the floor. "That works," she muttered, poking the food bars with her toe before crouching and picking up the photo. Just as she began to turn it over, her companion decided to try and kill herself.

All Freya could do was stare at her in absolute horror as she did everything you weren't supposed to do with a gun. With each different dangerous blunder, Freya winced and extended her hand further and further toward the lady. "Uh..n..no..please...oh..don't put...ehhh..." she muttered, jaw agape and brows turned upward.

"Furey?"

Fast as a whip, the girl snatched up the offered gun and put it back in the bag. She had to make the girl aware that guns were dangerous but she really had no idea. With a heavy exhale, she sat down and crossed her legs, leaning forward to pick up the metal collar. Freya rummaged around in the bag, pulling the gun out and holding it in her other hand.

She held up the collar, slightly toward the girl and waited for a reaction. Once she had one, she lowered it and held up the gun. Down went the gun and up went the collar. She planned on doing this until she got the same reaction from the gun as she did from the collar. Or until she got bored and gave up. Putting the collar and the gun back into the bag, Freya looked down at the other things that had been in the bag.

She took the gun quickly and put it in the bag before grabbing the collar and holding it up.  She growled at her but scooched back away a little at the same time.  Then she held up the gun, she did this a few times and it became clear she was associating the two.  She remembered the men shocking her with the collar and began to realize the gun did the same thing.  She started growling at the gun as well each time it was lifted up until she put it back in the bag.

"Trajectory notice.  Please note that current trajectory will reach the star Penglai in thirty eight hours, thirty two minutes, sixteen seconds.  Shuttle integrity will be compromised at a distance of one million, one hundred and fourteen kilometers from Penglai's surface.  Human occupants will expire at one million, two hundred and eighty four thousand kilometres.  Course change recommended."

She had grown tired of the cave talking and didn't pay attention as she taste-tested both the paper money and coins before picking up the data chip.  She inspected it for a moment before raising it to her lips.

Freya

She seemed pleased, but her attention was quickly yanked back to the console when the ship woman informed them of their impending doom. Right, because nothing could ever be easy. Standing, she made her way back to the chair and sat at its edge, looking over the console and out the window a couple of times. "Thirty eight hours," she repeated, rubbing her face with one hand and hoping someone would respond to their distress call before that. There were four other ships in the area, weren't there?

Out of the corner of her eye she spotted the woman putting various things in her mouth. Sure, money was disgusting and she'd likely just ingested tons of people's butt germs, but it wouldn't kill her. So she didn't bother stopping her. However, when she picked up the data chip, Freya half leaned out of her chair and pointed at S46, "Delilah, no!" she said sternly, not entirely sure she'd know what she meant but it was likely to get her attention, "Not everything goes in your mouth. Why do you think this is all food? What's the difference to you between that money and this?" she asked, holding up the instruction manual, "Do you think this goes in your mouth?" she asked, holding the book out to the other female to see what she'd do with it.

"Delilah, no!"

The stern call got her attention, she looked at the chip then back at the girl and slowly put the chip back on the ground.  The woman stood and moved over to the manual that Freya held out.  She sniffed it, didn't smell like food.  She moved to take a bite anyway but then the lights dimmed and the yellow was replaced by flashing red.

"Warning.  Impact imminent.  Warning."  The shipboard voice repeated in a loop as horns began to go off.  Delilah was startled and ran over picking up her stick, wondering what the commotion was.

Outside a ship was approaching, an old junker of a thing.  It was closing distance but had yet to make communication with them.
