Welcome to Finding Serenity!Finding Serenity is an original character Role play set in Joss Whedon's Firefly/Serenity 'Verse. 2519We left the Earth long ago, used it up and left it to die while we sought out new worlds. Cultures blended in our journeys but eventually we reached our new home. Dozens of planets and hundreds of Moons to terraform and make our own. For centuries we grew and expanded relying on the Government (The United Allied Planets or Alliance as they’re better known) to tend to us, protect us. Of course eventually some, especially those away from the central core worlds, wanted more freedom, more independence and fought to gain it. The Alliance fought to keep ‘Unification’ in place. The War was ugly and the ‘Independents’ lost. That was eight years ago, but really it might have been yesterday given how little peoples opinions have changed. Life, however, goes on; people make their way in the black, in the richness of the Core worlds and out in the Frontier lands of the Rim and Border worlds. You keep moving, seeking out your path and watching out for dangers whether that be from the black itself, the dark side of nature or them gorram cannibalistic, masochistic Reavers that seem to plague the Rim worlds (them you really don’t want to run into). Just when you think the world returns to some semblance of normalcy things have to go and change again. The government it seems was not done with meddling to keep people safe. Those Reavers I mentioned, turns out they created them. A side effect of something that killed about thirty million other people. At least that’s what the transmission said. You might choose not to believe it. Question is what are you gonna do about it? You gonna stick by the Alliance Government? Rise up against it? Or you just don't care either way 'slong as you can make a living? Our ships and characters are caught in the middle of it all. It would be a trial run to start, but basically those that could make it would spend the time chatting with their FS family in the chatbox and posting. If people could post here first whether they think this is something they would like to be involved in, and secondly a time that would work best for you on Sunday. Please include your time zone. Therefore we would like everyone to welcome Kysenp to the administration team. Ky has not been with us for an incredibly long time but in his time here he has shown himself to be friendly and committed to the site.
